Jeremy of Geeks + Gamers loves to rant, usually about Star Wars and Lucasfilm. Channel Dad Bryon Lape is a founding member of The Fandom Menace, so why doesn’t he rant more? He personally knows Jeff of World Class Bullshitters and has recorded videos with him. Bryon Lape also knows the other members of the World Class Bullshitters and brought the fans together to create the podcast called The Fan Caste. He is older than Uncle Ethan as well. So why not rant more?

Ranting is negative energy and all it brings is more negativity. Jeremy may grow the Geeks and Gamers channel with his style and that is good for him. Jeff takes a more middle of the road approach with the World Class Bullshitters, but it is his factual toy videos, in particular the Star Wars toys, that has made his channel grow quite well. Channel Dad Bryon Lape takes a more positive approach to his channel and covers items that interest him. This does include Star Wars, the MCU, and other Pop Culture items, but it is not limited to that realm. Bryon Lape is also interested in Fitness, Health, Photography, Computer Generated Images (check out his DAZ Studio attempts….and yes, he is learning Blender), and many other delightful topics. After all, this is Channel Dad Bryon Lape’s Random World of Wonderfulness.

Why the name “Channel Dad”? Why does Bryon Lape use that so much that he renamed his channel to reflect it? That is a most excellent question. When he decided to create a Blue Ocean Strategy for his channel, Bryon Lape decided to connect people and ideas. Though he does interviews from time to time, it is not a main thrust of his channel. Finding people with different ideas and connecting them with others is what he does best. The connecting is a talent Bryon Lape has had for years. When Jeff Hicks of the World Class Bullshitters gave him the title of “Channel Dad,” it was due to him driving the group to various events and connecting them with others.

The Blue Ocean Strategy that Bryon Lape creates gives a more balanced approach to various pop culture events, even as Jeremy of Geeks + Gamers rants. Jeremy’s energy is balanced by Channel Dad’s moderated approach, giving members of the Fandom Menace a scale upon which to measure their own impressions. This is obvious from his Star Wars, DCEU, and MCU videos, so please delight in the other stuff too.

Useless Strength Exercises EVERYONE Does

Not everyone has hours a day to spend in a gym or training. There are many exercises that seem to build strength, but given the amount of time they take and how little strength is actually built, these exercises are a waste of time.

Channel Dad Bryon Lape reads an article from Muscle and Fitness written by Lisa Ann Smith. Some of these exercises have value, but when it comes to building strength, they are better alternatives, making them useless. Other exercises on Lisa Ann’s list of 10 practically useless strength exercises can be quite dangerous or too easy to do wrong. What do you think of the exercises on this list?

The Great American Fork Controversy

The fork is a common utensil found on the dinning tables in the West. The first known fork in America was on June 25, 1633, when governor John Winthrop introduced what was then called the “split spoon“. Channel Dad Bryon Lape is no History Guy, but this does seem to be some history that needs to be remembered.

In the American colonies, the fork was seen as a devil’s instrument and most people used spoons. Usage of the fork developed differently in Europe than in America. Each side to this fork controversy see the other as using the fork incorrectly. Typically, Americans use it similar to a spoon and see Europeans as holding the fork upside down. Which way is correct? Which way do you hold the fork?

Channel Dad Bryon Lape reads an article by Lianna Brinded on Get Pocket. The Great American Fork Controversy has been going on for nearly 400 years. Is there an end or should everyone use the fork the way they want?

Replace Ruby Rose On Batwoman? Jade Tailor Says Yes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp5kWfQT5jg

Ruby Rose has departed the Batwoman CD show, whether her choice or not, so talk of a replacement actress has started. Stephanie Beatriz has been mentioned as a possibility and now Jade Tailor has stated she wants to be considered for the role. As Jade put it on Twitter, “I think they should cast someone with fighting skills (like krav maga) who has already played a bad ass on screen the last 5 years and loves working crazy hours.”

Channel Dad Bryon Lape reads an article from CBR. The TL;DR article is by John Ridlehoover. Jade Tailor was most recently in the Magicians as Kady Orloff-Diaz. She is in good shape and knows how to fight, at least for television. Do you think the CW should consider Jade Taylor for the role of Kate Kane on Batwoman? Who would be better in this role?

Short’s Brewing Spruce Pilsner Review

Channel Dad Bryon Lape reviews another great beer from Short’s Brewing. Ever wonder what a pilsner mixed with spruce would taste like? How about bumping the ABV to 9.5% and call it a day? Yes, it is quite the Imperial Pilsner with Spruce.

Here is how Short’s Brewing describes the Spruce Pilsner on their website:
Imperial Spruce Pilsner is fermented with local, hand-picked blue spruce tips and the quintessential symbol for Joe Short’s love of hops and craft beer. The spruce presence, rooted in historical brewing practices, is enormous and gives the beer a refreshing gin quality. This beer is impressively light bodied, considering the immense spruce flavors and the prodigious additions of hops.

As several countries step back to normal, what will be the long time economic effects on their populations? What lessons can be learned from Sweden?
