Give me the Pain

Pain!

It is a word that itself is harsh. It has many facets. It has many ways. Physical. Emotional. Psychological. Pain is all there.

Pain can drive some to do good, others to to evil. Pan can bring about change; it can bring about disaster. It can create. It can destroy. Pain can push or it can be pushed. Pain gives energy. Pain takes it.

How one responds to pain is based on many factors. It is a result of who one is. Different is everyone’s results. Different is everyone’s pain. What one may see as easy to handle, another will fold under the same. Pain is individualized. Pain is personal. Pain is forceful.

Physical pain may come from an injury. It may come from worn parts. It may come with old age. The mind may overcome it. The mind may be subdued by it.

Emotional pain may come from the hurtful words of a loved on. It may come as a result of seeing others in pain. It may come from a love lost, never to return. Emotional pain may also lead to physical pain. It may cause illness. It may cause despair. It may so overwhelm a body that it cannot move. Speak. Dream.

Pain Management

Some may turn to medication to manage their pain. Medication may cause dependency, addiction. Others will turn to physical therapy. The get stretched. They get prodded. They yearn to be free of the pain. The pain never fully leaves. The mind begins to accept it. The mind becomes ruled by it. Pain wins. Pain is king.

Where are you with your pain? Does it rule you? Do you rule it? Do you look forward to the pain as a hurdle to be overcome? Do you run from pain?

Without Action, 2012 Is Just Another Year

The Year End

At the end of the year, many people reflect over their lives. What did they do that year? What do they like? What do they not? Such reflections usually result in some manner of a list of changes they would like to make starting Jan 1. New Year’s Resolutions they are called.

Some want to lose weight. Others want to quite smoking. Still others may opt to manage their time better. No matter the desire, the results typically are the same. That first week of January the gym is crowded, but soon the attendance wanes and returns to normal. Money comes out each month anyway for that membership, few go.

The cigarettes. The alcohol. The overeating. The laziness and complacency. It all returns. Old habits come back. Oh, maybe next year.

Stop the Procrastination

The problem is not in the resolution. The problem is not in the desire. The problem is in the execution. In the action. Without action, 2012 is just another year. Just another time. Just more waiting and wishing.

Miss one day? So what, pick it up the next. Miss a week? So what, start over again. Right now! Don’t procrastinate anymore! Take action!

Take Massive Action

Some changes need to be built, slowly over time. They still require massive action, just action that is placed over many days or weeks. That twenty extra pounds were not gained in three days, so don’t expect it to be gone that quickly. Develop a plan. Take action against it. Massive action! Build the momentum.

Learning new skills may require massive action up front, coupled with restrained action as a follow up. Research. Study. Testing. Great bits of information all at once, digested slowly. Akin to pushing a large bolder. Take the massive action at the start and let momentum carry the rest, providing additional energy as needed. Without that first action, nothing will happen.

Without Action, 2012 Is Just Another Year

Decide what you want to change. Research what it takes. Find experts who can help. Find mentors who will encourage and equip. Develop a plan. Take a deep breath. Start. Take MASSIVE action. Don’t let 2012 become just another year. Create the better habits. Walk the talk. Get results. The secret is actions, not resolutions.

“Keys to Your Success” – Why Do I Want To Be In Business?

Marketing is about you. It is about your story. It is about your value proposition. It controls you advertising and your target audience. Why a business needs to do marketing s as fundamental as business itself. Ok then, why would anyone want to be in business?

Why Do I Want To Be In Business?

That is a great question. Awesome, now what? Hey, we are getting there. One moment.

Being in business starts with an idea; with a dream; with a desire. It is about controlling your own destiny; getting the labor of you efforts; making a difference; creating something new. A business is a living, breathing organism. It needs attention. It needs direction. It needs you.

Being in business can get uncontrolled. It can own you. It can reward you.

And Why Do I Want To Be In Business?

The question itself holds the key to its own answer. Why. A business that starts with Why is one that starts off in the center. Simon Sinek constructed his Golden Circle for just that question: Why. Your Why has to be at the center of everything you do in order to create your value proposition. It will direct your How, which will in turn create your What.

Starting from the outside and working in is a rare achievement. Don’t start with What you want to sell. Start with Why you want to sell it. Be honest. Be forthright. Be real.

Many are the motivations for people to start a new business. Some want to improve on products of others. Some want to make money. Some want to change the world. Some being by filling a need for a loved one. Others discover ways of helping everyone simultaneously. Some seek to solve a problem. Some seek to remove barriers. Some want to put food on the table.

Your motivation for choosing this path is yours alone. Start with it. Run with it. Live it.

And what of me? Many ask why I am in business. Why do I blog and make videos. Why do I seek out people who want to make a change with their lives. That is Why.

People want to make a change. They want to experience something different. They want more control. They want to learn. They need to grow. That is Why.

I am compelled by a desire to help people help themselves. My Why is rooted in watching people grow, spread their wings and accomplish beyond their wildest imaginations. To see them run on their own. To go where only they can. That is Why.

My heard beats with the sound of a thousand drummers. It skips to the music others create. It is warmed by the light of a smile. It desires You.

You are my Why. You are Whom I seek. It is time to make a difference in your life. It is time to reach the goals. It is time to make a change. Stand up. Be counted. Find your Why and let it become you.

Do You Trust Me?

Trust. It is such a simple word. It is one that puts you in the middle. It is a feeling. It is emotional. It is hard to gain and easy to lose. It is a part of being human.

What is trust? Why do we trust some people and not others? What are the qualities that allow us to trust?

The ability to trust lies in the inner portion of the brain. It is emotionally based and has no capacity for language. It leads us to trust people based on a common ground. It is communities that build trust. Neighbors open to one another, leading to help. This human interaction is the seed that grows to trust.

Do you trust me?

We humans long for interaction with others. Video conferences do not fully replace this interaction. The eye-to-eye and hand-to-hand contact is a part of who we are. It is how we build trust.

Trust is integral to human beings. They have to exist or we get more disconnected and more self-centered. Trust is about interactions. It is interactions. No matter the level of experience another may have in what we seek, if there is no trust, there is no relationship.

Trust allows us to take bold steps. It allows us to build great things. Great works. Great wonders. Trust is forged in the heat of battle and the most tender of moments. It breaths and moves. It endures.

Do you trust me?

The start toward trust harbors in the Why of others. When you know why someone does what they do; what drives them to continue; how deep their level of commitment, it is far easier to trust them. You have their motivation. You know there is nothing hidden.

Secrets breed mistrust. Lies add fuel. Openness brings light. Trust only grows in the light. Darkness will surely kill trust. Once dead, it can be nearly impossible to revive.

Do you trust me?

I do what I do because of my Why. I long to empower people. I find joy in watching others discover their dreams, realize their goals, max their potential. Without trust, no one will allow me to know them well enough to help them.

I can help people change their lives. I cannot change it for them. They must walk the path, but knowing someone they trust is behind them will help.

Think back to that first bicycle ride without the training wheels. Was someone holding the seat? Did they run along until you had enough speed to stay steady? How did it feel when you looked back and they were no longer holding the seat? How did it feel when you saw the smile on their face as you achieved? What was it like when it was your turn to hold the seat? That feeling is trust?

Without trust, there is no community. Without community, there is no society. Trust is the very thread that holds us all together. In its absence, insanity rules. Arbitrary laws get passed when people no longer trust one another to do the right thing. Regulations run amuck and the largest gun wins.

Without trust, people are suspicious of others. Without trust, travel becomes more burdensome. People watch one another and quickly turn to authoritarian leaders for protection. No one is safe. All feel uneasy.

It is time to rebuild trust. Time to reconnect with one another. Time to reach out your hand and say hello. It is time to be known by your neighbors and understand each other. It is time for openness and warmth. Let the light in. Build trust.

Do you trust me?

Three secrets to becoming debt free

There seems to be no shortage of gurus who sell all manner of programs that “guarantee” you will get debt free. Great, that’s what is needed. Spending more money.

Yes, these programs work. Yes, they can be helpful. But why spend more money to learn how to get out of debt? Doesn’t that seem silly?

Here are three tips to becoming debt free:

Make a Budget

Go through your monthly expenses. Categorize everything as a want or a need. A need is what is required to survive, everything else is a want. Look at your needs again. What can still be moved to a want?

Set a little money away each month to drive toward a want. Let it be a reward for reaching a milestone. Keep it small, but it will grow over time.

Now look at the needs. How can these expenses be minimized? Store brands over national? Coupon clipping? Store specials? All of them help. Do it and push the saved money into debt payments.

Make a debt payment Plan

Get all your debt payments out and list them. Now order them based on the total amount due, smallest to largest. Pay off the smaller owned amount first. Pile every spare penny into it. On all the rest, make the minimum payments. Don’t worry about coming up with some complicated scheme based on the interest rates, amount owed, payment schedule, etc. Keep it simple. Smallest to largest.

As each debt is paid in full, add that money to the payment for the next largest. Let the payment grow. Let it snowball. After a few are paid, things will really pick up. Go!

Stay consistant

One of the biggest mistakes people make is paying off a debt or two and then spending a charging a big item. Don’t do it! Stay the course. Get all the debt done first, then start saving for a nice to have. Look at all the interest you are paying. Don’t it be nice to have that money working for you instead of the bank? Stay the course and it will happen.

Use the money set aside for small rewards are you pay off each debt. Pay cash for those rewards. Don’t reward yourself with more debt. Once debt free, use the same saving system to buy. If you don’t have the money, you don’t buy it.

Reach It!

There. Three secrets to becoming debt free and you didn’t have to buy anything. Make a budget. Plan your attack. Stay the course. You can do it!

No more MLM…please

Starting a new home business? No more MLM, please. Why no more? Simply.

No more continuous shuffling of people in and out of your downline.

No more hotel meetings and dragging new sets of eyeballs every week to see “the plan” and maybe sign up.

No more cold calling people you meet at the grocery store or the local fast food joint.

No more buying product you don’t need and stock piling in your home just to maintain your level and your paycheck.

No more conning friends and family over for dinner just to spring the board plan on them during the evening.

No more products that are easily copied and available at your local store.

No more business that don’t work.

When starting a home business, it is important to have a product that cannot be copied, but is in high demand. It is important to have a business structure that delivers upfront profits and good duplication.

Start a business. Start a real business. Today.

Change is in the Air

Gone too long from posting and inventing videos for changing people’s lives, the time has come to return to the text. So much to cover and the time will come one day at a time.

As I’ve made these videos, I’ve been using my name as the default domain. At the moment, this is pushing to my main business website. While this is good for advertising, it is not good in developing a dialog with viewers. It has become obvious that refocusing is required, but on what?

The videos are outreach, this blog should be the main focus. Ergo, change is in the air.

Oh no!!! Change!?!!?!????? Isn’t that an empty political promise from candidates? Yeah, from the Democrats yes, but not here.

What kind of change is in the air??

The change is quite simple, my name domain is moving here. Yeah, that’s pretty much it. Once the business sites have been redone, my named domain will forward to the road to the future. Yeah, this is the place!!!

More advice. More talk. More helpful information. It will be great!

Have Faith

The Apostle Paul writes in Hebrews that without faith it is impossible to please God. Dani Johnson writes that it is the lack of faith in one’s self that causes failure. Faith is more than just a religious expression, it is how we live our lives.

For the Entrepreneur, faith is an all important component. It is what let’s one know that success will be had. It is more than just leaping blindly from the ledge, it is in knowing that there is a place to land and it will be reached. Faith is that knowing.

Having constant failure in your business venture? Working very hard, but not seeing any results? Take a good step back and examine yourself. Do you believe you will have success or are you just wishing? Having the latter means you do not have faith. Success in business is not about winning the lottery. It is not dumb luck that a business grows and brings rewards to those who start. It is about faith.

Faith is the underlying support. Someone’s why is what drives them, what keeps them going. It is their faith that allows them to see success before it happens. It is their faith that cuts through all the murkiness. They have faith in their abilities. They know they have what it takes. They know they will be successful and realize their dreams. They have faith.

Work on your faith this week. Examine and meditate on how you truly see your abilities. Where you find lack, seek training and guidance. Build on small successes and increase your faith in yourself. After all, you are an Entrepreneur. You did start a business. You much have at least a mustard seed of faith in yourself to get that far. Grow it.

Be Potentially Kinetic

In Physics, there are two basic types of energy: potential and kinetic. Potential is energy not in use. It just sits there. Waiting for an opportunity, but really doing nothing. It is all there to be used. It has great possibilities. It could lead to something, but alas, it does not. Imagine a battery, full-charged and ready, but never used; an object held aloft, waiting to be let go, but never released. That is potential energy.

Kinetic energy, on the other hand, is energy in use. It is the roller coaster car moving about the track. It is the battery powering the radio. It is the fuel in the tank being pumped into the engine to make the vehicle move. It is taking full advantage of an opportunity. It is movement. It is useful.

Everyone possesses some level of each. Everyone has potential to be far more than they are. When there is no action, no attempt at movement, there is only potential. Opportunity knocks, but it is not answered. The potential energy never becomes kinetic.

Which are you? Are you all potential and far too scared to try to become kinetic? What is your fear? Will you let it win? Turn that fear into your own source of kinetic energy and succeed.

Not the Tea Party

The bloggisphere is all alight blaming the Tea Party for the downturn in the market. They pull out all manner of “facts” to support their suppositions, but they are not truthful with their information.

It’s Reagan’s mess

While it is correct Reagan promised balanced budgets in his campaigns, he was not able to fulfill it. His tax cuts sparked growth in the economy and when he left office 8 years later, revenues to the treasury were twice what they were when Carter left office. Detractors will quickly point out that Reagan raised taxes twice in those 8 years, but they are slow to recall that $2 in spending were to be cut from every $1 raised. The cuts never took place in a Democrat controlled Congress. Reagan also caused two government shutdowns to try to get a balanced budget. The such budgets ever left Congress for Reagan to sign.

Clinton Balanced the Budget

Candidate Clinton’s budget proposal was lauded by all manner of Keynesian economics in 1992. These are the same economics who are complaining about the S&P downgrade and the Tea Party.

Clinton gave the middle-class the largest tax increase in American history and budget deficits of $220 billion a year. This plus his wife’s attempted take over of 1/6 of the American economy lead to an electorate revolt that gave the Republicans control of Congress for the first time in decades. The Conservatives cut taxes and spending and balanced the budget. No longer invited to the elite parties in Washington, RINOs thanked Newt by throwing him under the bus and slowly losing power. These same RINOs now yell at the Tea Party.

Bush Spent the Surplus

Bush was chosen the Republican candidate over the objection of the Conservatives. A Social Democrat at heart, Bush was the embodiment of tax cut and spend life crazy. The growth during his Presidency was more a left-over of Reagan era policies than his own. The spending really ramped up the last two years of his Presidency when he finally had a Congress that would not oppose him. That is when the Democrats took full control back again.

Listen to tapes of the various talk radio shows during the Bush era and you will hear people pissed off. They were holding their collective noses voting for RINOs all around the country because the thought of total Marxism running unchecked was too great. The support for Fascism’s track of the Progressive ideals was nearly too much to swallow. This culminated in the Tea Party spawning after the 2008 election. No longer bound by some allegiance to a party, they found one another and grew.

The Real Blame

Lost in all the shatter is how much S&P agreed with the Tea Party. The cuts have to be real, not just some reduction in the rate of growth. No Democrat has proposed real cuts, his Holiness Obama included. Only the Tea Party backed bill sought to cut real spending and it died in the Senate at Harry Reid’s hands. America would not have defaulted, but the crowing from the Progressives was great and they had the People well scared. Yes, the Progressive share much of the blame, but they are not the root cause. They are but a symptom of the disease.

The late comedian George Carlin was heading in the right direction with his rant on the voters. Yes, the start of this whole mess is the public. Once Politicians realized that many voters’ had their votes for sale and the Supreme Court reversed 150 years of Constitutional precedent, the race over the cliff was on. Money was borrowed and borrowed to ensure the end was not reached while they were in office. This last bunch were caught out when the music stopped. The Progressive gravy train is over. It is up to the People of America to get out of this mess; not the Politicians, not the Government, but the People. The People have the power. Hopefully they will seek Freedom and Liberty and not shared misery through Tyranny.
